We strive to provide access, understanding, and intervention for those seeking assistance. In collaboration with campus partners, our team offers situational support to empower students to utilize resources, address existing personal and academic challenges, and develop new strategies to improve future outcomes.

Absence and Verification Notices

Most courses have an attendance policy outlined on the syllabus, and this may reference excused or unexcused absences.  For students who have extended absences due to a medical or private matter, our office can provide written communication to a faculty member to verify the extenuating circumstances.

Support for Undocumented Students

We offer a dedicated staff member for advocacy, resource referral, and social programming for Undocumented Students, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival recipients and Temporary Protective status recipients.

A temporary condition can be an injury or illness that causes unforeseen barriers impacting your academics and overall Rutgers experience. These barriers can come in the form of difficulty writing, walking long distances, and more. Our goal is to facilitate access to classes and services if you run into challenges navigating this process.
